**Due to a decision made by VHSL on July 27th, 2020, all sports will be delayed and adhere to the Condensed Interscholastic Plan this school year.

In order to try out, each student will need to register online with Fairfax’s NEW Online Athletic & Activity Registration Website.

The VHSL form must say “Revised February 2017” in the top right corner of page 1. No other versions of this document will be accepted.  Pages 1, 2, and 4 of the form are to be filled out and signed by the athlete and a parent/guardian. Page 3 must be filled out by a doctor, with the exam signed and dated May 1st, 2020 or LATER to be eligible for this school year.  This must be turned in once per year to the Activities Office or the Athletic Training staff – it is good for any season or green days/conditioning sessions during the school year (valid through June 30th, 2021).

The athlete AND one parent/guardian must review the online Concussion Education presentation, which is part of the online registration process mentioned above. This must be completed once per year.

EMERGENCY CARE CARDS (Form se3 – click here) must be turned in to the head coach of any sport you intend to try out for or participate in any green days/conditioning with.
Athletes participating in a sport each season will need an Emergency Care Card for each head coach (make copies)!

All freshmen are academically eligible for sports in the fall and winter. High School students must pass no less than five credits the previous semester to remain eligible each season.

All required forms, contact information for coaches, tryout info (times & locations), and team schedules are available on the Fairfax Athletics website.
