3:30PM-5:30PM

Selection Criteria

Each player will be evaluated by the below criteria:

• Skills/talent – How well can you hit, field, catch, throw, and run bases?
• Athleticism – Softball is a sport that favors speed, strength, and quickness.
• Teamwork – How well do you handle playing in a team environment?
• Attitude/Conduct – As athletes, our players are representing the school and the softball program. Discipline issues on and off the field can affect your ability to make the team. We are also looking for athletes who can take constructive criticism positively.
• Work Ethic – We select players with passion and who want to continue to get better. We are always learning, no matter how good of a player you are.
• Team Balance – We need a good mix of players by position.

Players will need cleats, a bat, glove, softball pants or sweatpants, and a sweatshirt or jacket. There will be a selection process to determine who participates at each level. Players will be placed on teams at the Head Coach’s discretion.

Players will be notified if they made Varsity or JV following practice on Thursday 2/27 and on Friday 2/28.
